Come One, Come All to the Home Media Blog

A Note Addressed to My Readers

Ensconced in one house of many in Northern California, there exists a room overflowing with novels, historical texts, Christian-discipline books, and other media forms. The reading-age recommendations on these volumes vary from young children to mature adult. While some adult books aim to teach readers on topics from writing to cooking, past wars to military life. Other adult novels had been bought on a whim and stored behind other books because of the scandalous content within.

But other books, intended for young audiences, sit on the bookshelves in a position of honor, easy to view and frequently picked up. Most novels in the room revolve around an epic fantasy story or a historical romance. However, many Christian-discipline books have an embarrassingly noticeable layer of dust in this collection. The vast majority of these novels and nonfictional texts were written some years ago, sometimes decades ago.

A Sad Reality, but a Resolution

All of these novels, histories, and nonfictions belong to me. I am the stereotypical “book buyer” – the one whose hobby is in the purchasing of books, not necessarily in reading the bought books. As a youth, I read many novels, mostly classic literature and J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series. These novels had brought me much joy and hope in my youth, but life had interfered and stolen the joy I had once found in reading. I aim to change this.

Welcome to my Home Media Blog. Here I will provide reviews for the various books, audiobooks, movies, and games which I have collected over my lifetime. More than likely, I will review books and novels predominantly found online at bookstores such as Barnes & Noble or Amazon. I will try to provide links to the media I review somewhere within my future blog posts. Please feel free to comment on the posts, whether discussing your opinion of the media or providing advice on other books or movies which other readers may enjoy.

Thank you for reading and please follow my blog for future posts!
